We are currently rearing 50 Calder Ranger and 50 Rhode Rocks to be ready to lay by mid-April. These birds will lay good quality brown eggs and be a delight to have in your garden, orchard or field. The Calder Rangers are attractive light and dark brown birds, and the Rhode Rocks are mainly black, being bred from Black Rocks. Both are hardy and are bred to lay for the best part of the year, so that you do not have a big gap without eggs which happens with the purest breeds.
