Blackthorn Beef and Lamb

Richard has been producing delicious, succulent beef since 1970 and tasty lamb since about 1985. His family and friends have enjoyed the farm-reared meat so much that we have decided to make it available to a wider public.

Our meat is traceable from birth to table, superior in flavour because it is reared traditionally ie. slowly, from grass pastures in summer and in winter the cattle are housed in straw barns.

We deliver free within a 10 mile radius, ready bagged, labelled and frozen.

We are very happy to give you any other facts you wish to know; one question that is frequently asked is why we are not organic. The reasons are these.....

We are happy that the way we produce our meat is free from any additives in the feed. We have a special additive free mix made up by our supplier, a family run mill in Gloucestershire who we have used for 30 years. The animals are finished slowly, they do not have movement stress, they graze outside all summer, are wormed regularly and kept in clean, comfortable conditions in winter. The meat is also cheaper than organic would be, making it easier for you to make the choice to eat our meat.
